Rtec lab scale piston ring liner engine simulator allows for quick screening of materials, additives, and coatings on the engine components at very low cost. The module mounts on the MFT-5000 platform. It comes with an in-line high frequency friction sensor, real-time down force control, real-time wear rate, oil re-circulation, and temperature control. The high frequency sensor provides measurement of frictional losses across cylinder liners and quantifies tribological performance of internal combustion engines. The in-line profilometer achieves surface topography of the frictional components with ease.
